“We keep Asheville thriving by producing diverse and eclectic programming that inspires our listeners to build connections across our communities and to discover new music and ideas.”
Asheville FM is nonprofit, volunteer-driven, community radio. Programming includes community-focused news and talk-radio both in English and in Spanish, as well as the most eclectic freeform mix of music you will find in Western North Carolina.
And, Asheville FM is more than just a radio station. We’re a nonprofit with the mission to impact our community in positive ways. Our services include youth & community podcasting bootcamps and a live performance studio to feature local musicians and touring bands. We partner with other organizations to bring attention to local events, artists, activists, marginalized communities, and other nonprofits.
As a community resource, Asheville FM is committed to uplifting underrepresented voices in our region and beyond. We are working to serve individuals and communities including immigrants, LGBTQ+, people of color, women, and young people through social justice programs, community outreach, and news and community affairs. Our organization has partnerships with over seventy nonprofits to uplift their diverse missions and facilitate awareness for the needs of marginalized groups in North Carolina.
